I had never used Godot for mobile before. I was quite surprised to learn that Control nodes weren't built with multitouch in mind. We really had no need for multitouch until last week and I was like, what?!! Thankfully it's easy to setup an abstraction over _input to manage the entre thing.

Someone tried to scam me on TikTok, but they were so polite. They groomed me for a week, asking how my day was and getting to know me. I got used to the attention and let the charade develop until I had no choice but to tell them I wasn't gonna give them my crypto wallet info. 😂

It's so true what they say about discovering your game rather than designing it. We started with a simple idea for a mobile game. Tomorrow is our first proper internal test and everything is telling us to completely change the focus because the really fun mechanics are the ones we didn't design.

So I played AoE2 for the first time in I don't know how many years. Lost the first mission of a moderate campaign. I'm rusty af, but I guess I know how I'm gonna waste my time this weekend. Time to remember the old build orders

One thing I do love about coding games that regular web development doesn't have is math. It's so much more fun to solve problems with linear algebra than what is this month's best way to write the same simple js/html form I've done a 1000 times before according to the industry "elites"

I know I'm decades late to the party, but I finally downloaded a MOBA (Dota), and I must say I get it now. At this point I'm not even sure why avoided those games for so long. I'm having a blast!

I swore I was gonna be constant on here and I stopped posting. So much is happening right now! I've been doing good progress on my ARPG hobby game and on top of that I'm partnering with a dear friend who comes from the VFX industry and we're gonna start developing commercial projects early next year

I have been contemplating the idea of making an ARPG for a while and I did some prototyping in Godot, which is my go to engine, but I'm not feeling the node system for this one. I'm migrating the prototype to pure C++ and SDL. Let's see how it goes.

Many years ago I went to the movies and got presented with a very important question, "Am I am or am I a Muppet?". It took me until my thirties, but I can say now, without any doubt. I'm a Muppet. #Thought #Muppet

Doing the 20 day challenge I've realized how many of these games I played with my grandpa. He was a music producer and I would go to his studio and play on his computer. His wife would get furious because we spent so many time playing, but he knew it was the best way to bond with me.

I must say, looking at everyone's excellent work and individual progress on this platform has filled me with so much hope and inspiration to keep going on my game dev journey.

Are people still interested in blogs? I have this urge to talk about game dev and games in general, but I'm not too comfortable speaking in english so I'd prefer writing instead of making videos or having a podcast. A blog is the obvious choice. What are your thoughts? #Blog #GameDev

I quit WoW at the end of DF and started FFXIV a few months ago. I didn't quit because it was bad, I was tired after playing for several years straight. I can say that Blizz would win big if they got rid of the toxic culture. The best part of FFXIV is how wholesome the community is. #FFXIV #WoW

The sudden urge to make a silly little game, but my go-to artists are busy. I guess it's time to use the good old aseprite and hope for the best.

The sad part about not sleeping because you gamed all night is not being tired for work or chores. It's being tired to keep playing the next night.

I guess I'm gonna do the thing. - Web dev - Game dev - World of Warcraft - FFXIV - The Elder Scrolls - Mass Effect - Modding - History - Philosophy - Math - Physics
