This book is so silly and clever and freeing that you will laugh. If you haven't laughed for a while, I promise it feels even better than ever. (And if you have, you know this, and perhaps you'd like some more.) Plus, hardcover Zig on the shelf. True sign of sophistication.

The book everybody needs to carry them through these dark times, bruv.

The fools at Amazod have put the hardcover of Conversations With Idras on sale for $18. Take advantage of their folly.

I beta-read this. I've never wanted to write fan fiction so much in my LIFE. Publishers need to cage fight over this one.

Composed while on my back with the sun in my face giving my closed lids the most delicious 3rd eye orange, burnishing this thought as memory so I could type it, share it, be it: I love warmth.

ICYMI, wonderful reviews of 3 wonderful books. "There’s a beautiful combination created when magic meets empathy," they say of Breath Warmth and Dream. I heartily agree.

Friday. Gonna behoove you to delight yourself. Message ends.

"There's still good in the world, Mr Frodo."

I've got Hallmark movie snowfall. Obviously someone is kissing outside. Not me.

Because the offal office has never known love, it is trying to erase love. It's trying to erase friendships, community, and outright humanity. Except those are the things that don't go away. So to hell with the offal office.

Definitely in the 'getting by with a little help from my friends' category.

Soulful reviews, as always, by Jeremy Brett.

It's good to still have joy in your life. It's crucial. It's cool. Swing that sword while you bake a pie.

Retrain roaches to fear the light.

For a brief second I felt a surge of possibility, a feeling that, admittedly, has become stretched super thin, especially in the face of the USA's heightened daily abuse, but undeniably I felt like in the next 5 minutes:

Sometimes I just like sharing pretty things, even if it's my book cover.

I wish you had the kind of world that when you went to sleep you woke up rested. That shouldn't be a monumental dream.

Book love is good love 365. (Valentine's Day = candy PLUS books)

Last night's reading event was a clinic in elation, compassion, affection, introspection, beacon-lighting, fun, funk, and literary warp drive. Deep, blissful thanks to Maurice Broaddus, Rob Cameron, Gerald L. Coleman, Milton Davis, Justin C. Key, and Errick Nunnally. See y'all at the next bbq.

Tonight. Because "Tell me a story" is the first inkling of true exploration. Tickets available till noon today EST. Unfortunately, I'm still too sick to be of any use. Fortunately, there are 6 brilliant minds on this train. The ride remains smoove.

This brief, sweet review feels like soup for my flu-riddled soul.

Im under the weather so I've had a chance for a lot of streaming offerings to watch me recover & I have to say to every artist in every discipline out there, but particularly writers since I wear that hat, please be wild & intriguing with your work. Droning sameness injected into everything hurts.

Reason 7 of 7: Mr. Zig Zag Claybourne. Dig if u will the picture / of a dork whose writing is a list / of dreams and wishes and human emotions. Can u, my darling, can u picture this? www.eventbrite.com/e/black-men-...

Reason 6: Mr. Errick Nunnally. Design a world. Scrap it. Design it again. Scrap it. Do it a 3rd time, add questions, funk, and a twist of lime. Step back. Nod. www.eventbrite.com/e/black-men-...

Just inside of a week away from the BLACK MEN READING SPECULATIVE FICTION event. Why should you register? Reason 5: Mr. Justin C. Key. Searching the multiverse for your options and kind enough to leave tabs, footnotes, and clear directions. www.eventbrite.com/e/black-men-...

Celebrating #blackhistorymonth with The Brown Bookshelf's annual 28 Days Later celebration of children's book literature. #kidlit Day 3: Cameron Roberson/Rob Cameron @brklyndragon.bsky.social thebrownbookshelf.com/28days/day-3...

Reason 4: Mr. Milton Davis. Sometimes at night all you hear are crickets. All you see are fireflies. And every moment you stand there you know by the great cosmos above that a story is being told straight to your bones. www.eventbrite.com/e/black-men-...

THE ASSIMILATED CUBAN'S GUIDE TO QUANTUM SANTERIA is one of the best story collections out there.

It's my sincere hope that people experience at least one real thing that they feel in the deep marrow is deeelightful.

Reason 3: Mr. Gerald L Coleman. Take a poem. Give it mass. Inject it with hot plasma. Stir. Stand the hell back to appreciate. Plus he has a Kickstarter running. Money where mouth is is a strong indicator of moral fortitude. www.eventbrite.com/e/black-men-... www.kickstarter.com/projects/ger...

This Valentine's Day, give the gift of bruv. Lies featuring my non-existent friendship with Idris Elba regarding events that never happened that somehow speak truth.
