I'm not convinced that the reason is to fund tax cuts. They control House & Senate. Do they really need to do all this to placate the few GOP deficit hawks? If they are worried about Dem filibuster-restoring cuts would be a better option. I think it's more a general attitude of selfishness by Trump.

They can come up with an mRNA vaccine practically overnight but they can't cure cancer in the many many decades I've been alive. Given the poisons in our environment and ever changing chemical soup we live in maybe they're attacking the wrong end of the problem. But do pls keep teasing "The Cure."

Well, if there were only one sort of cancer that might have been possible sooner but there isn't. As a cancer survivor, my cancer treatment worked for me but didn't for two others being treated for the same caner, at the same time. Cancer is not one simple disease, but yeah, let's not bother eh
