To be fair, the satellite used by Rutland Weekend Television could be about the size of Rutland.

Almost a third of the satellites in space are cubesats (10cm cubes) or other nanosats (~the size of a loaf of bread).

And also, just for additional context, space (even just Earth orbital space) is Quite Big.

I mean, you might think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, etc.

And if they were all lined up around the equator they'd each be nearly 3 kilometres from the nearest one.
