DC Parks police are some of the most aggressive towards protestors. It then becomes a legal nightmare even when innocent. Has happened to friends during the Occupy and Black Lives Matter protests. Protest organizers should probably start setting up legal teams if they haven’t already.

TY. Never had an issue w them in 25 yrs protesting. Only time was w a DC officer as I was documenting police brutality. This was 24 years ago. They used horses, tanks, motorcycles & dressed in para-military gear even then. Thank goodness 3 men stepped in. They saved me from a broken arm, or worse🙏🏾

Yes, exactly. Training material is available online. If anyone observes the recent protests in New York City, Chicago, and Boston, the police have boundaries clearly marked. Many other cities did the same. As protesters, you don't crowd the police, make threats, or lead a crowd into the police.

Police training manuals can be found online. They will explain conventional tactics. Some law enforcement tactics are not published. There is no guarantee anyone is safe at a protest. If the city has marked road blocks and uniformed police without riot gear, your odds of a safe day are improved.

Maybe.... I don't recall ever hearing of it. It would certainly be harder to train them to ignore a snake, for real mischief throw a rubber snake at a horse. It might work too well, and I have too much respect for horses.

Can't really "train out" intuition / sensory nature inherent in the spirit of horses. Suppress, yes. Horses are very intuitive by nature. They don't miss a brat, but do spook.
