We have river otters in Sacramento and my dog loves to roll in their poop, and surprisingly, it's definitely not the most offensive poop he's rolled in. No smell of fish!!!

Interesting. We are about 3-4 miles from the nearest river. We have a pond, but the otter ignored it, thankfully, for now, anyway!

They travel a long way! We see them at this pond, which they have to cross Highway 5 which is an 8 lane freeway, then pass this much bigger flood "lake" cross a level, dig under a chain link fence to get to this other flood pond!
