This was 1940 so it was 85 years ago. Though I don’t think he went quite this soon. They had to check about his cleft lip and palate. I’ll have to check his army records.

I've found my Dad getting a prize for Calf Club, and his learner's cert for swimming 50yds. My Mum seems to feature in fancy dress competitions and this is when she was 6 months old.

Granny got her car stolen in 1945 - it doesn't say what make but I bet the foolish lad got an earful later. He took the car from Kimbolton and abandoned it in Inglewood when it ran out of petrol.

Also found a snippet from November 1931 when my Aunty was placed on the waiting list of probationers for nursing training. Found several bits that tie her early career together more so happy about that.
