Totally infuriating because I was in charge of Fulbright's once under Arne Duncan at ED.
We'll rebuild all the programs once they're gone, unlike Republicans we Democrats actually give a shit about the future economy our kids will inherit...
But they won't be paying American taxes. Or helping American culture. Or becoming American citizens.
This is mostly terrible for the USA.
I was at Intel in 2010-15. Flagship R&D department with hundreds of engineers.
Only ~10-20% of us were US-born, but 99% had PhDs from US universities, and ~90% got their jobs at Intel while on OPT.

They really just want rich white kids to go to college so those kids can supervise the plebians in the factories.
Excellent Chinese students will stay in China. But what about non-Chinese, who have English, maybe as a second language?
The UK? Australia? Canada? Huge opportunity for other countries to leapfrog the US in brainpower.
