Deputizing LEOs with zero experience in immigration enforcement has probably made this target harder to reach: they have to learn "on the job", they are likely bitter and demoralized that they've been pulled from terrorism investigations and such, etc.

There is no doubt that $ will be funneled to these efforts regardless of Congressional appropriations. They will also find any goon or thug to carry out the arrests. The only significant constraint seems to be where to house those arrested. The Supreme Court MUST uphold due process.

Also absolutely clear (and should be to judges overseeing cases involving ICE and Homeland) that trying to achieve such numbers cannot possibly involve giving those arrested due process. The denial of rights isn't just deliberate, it's the key part of the policy.

And already the attendance in my classroom is usually 11-12, roster is 20. My immigrant families are afraid to bring their children to school. The myriad repercussions of this regime are and will be legion.
