Me the same as you... and I was "hmmmm" at the start with Voyager when it first hit the screen. But the characters were so good that it didn't take long to become invested in it all. I've always felt that Star Trek's "we'll go along as it comes" scenario ended up being almost miraculous.

I was away at school when season 4 premiered. Where I was, I got to see it almost a full week before my parents did, because of how the syndication landed.

I got to brag to them how I'd already seen Scorpion, Part 2.

I will never reclaim that high.

The replicator can't do beans because... reasons of plot. It's very hit and miss what a replicator can and can't replicate.

I once tricked a replicator to adjust the proportions of the ingredients for bread (flower/sugar/yeast/water) so that it instead came out as vodka avoiding that synthahol crap.

Had the TV Guide with all the Voyager interveiws and cover that my aunt sent me from Canada in hand. I think I bought the soundtrack the next day on CD, still have it somewhere. I was one hyped nerdy 13 year old.

When I could watch Voyager streaming Counterpoint was one of the first episodes I looked for. Endgame is another favorite tho first watching the finale live 👴 I remember being pissed cause I thought they were going to take the other transwarp tunnel. Now *there's something in my eye*

In the UK, all Star Trek shows were 1st shown on the satellite TV service "Sky" almost a year after their US broadcast, and weren't on free-view until a year after that.
When I 1st visited the US, Counterpoint was on. And I was shocked at first to hear "Tuvok died". 1/

I do always remember liking the opening credits.
Probably the first run through it was Year of Hell, Flesh and Blood/Projections and The Killing Game. Always liked the working with a damaged ship or how they handled holodeck or the holograms. #StarTrekVoyager

It's an odd memory but before I started my first proper watch of Voyager in 2019, I checked out some out-of-context compilations and one of them had a clip from 'Virtuoso' when the Doctor duets with a smaller version of himself, really set the tone for what followed 😅🖖

I was a huge Trek fan in high school, and when DS9 and Voyager came on, I wasn't able to watch when they aired. I only recently watched both series, and I found that I really enjoyed Voyager a lot. It felt very comfortable - very escapist. I love it a lot.

For the last season my youngest was about 2. No matter where he was in house, his super hearing caught the first notes of the theme and he’s come running to watch the opening credits. He didn’t care about the rest of the show.

Voyage was available on VHS from BlockBuster before it was broadcast in the UK (at least on regular channels).

We'd spend the usual hours in BB failing to decide on a film, before coming home with the next set of episodes.

Now, we spend the same time searching streaming with the same futility.
