I played this over the radio as a joke for mom years ago. The look on her face and the belly laugh.... what a great memory. She had Alheizmers. My siblings and I would take turns driving her in big circles for hours to keep her happy before it got real bad. She was such a flirt then too. Funny.
Not to be that person, but the skit itself was about National Dietary Fiber Day, which was one of their favorite holidays.
The only reason I know this is because I spent part of the afternoon watching every Delicious Dish.π
I grew up with this #SNL classic & still watch it every year. #AlecBaldwin never fails to bring the comedic magic to the show every single time! Speaking of Alec is he on here yet?
That might be the most impressive part of this skit. They held it together until the end. A few times it looked like they were about to crack, but professionals.......
One of my fave SNL clips! So funny. I am old school SNL, grew up with Gilda, Murray, Belushi, Aykroyd, Morris, Curtin. Those were the best days. Lisa Loopner and Roseanne Roseannadanna. π
At the beginning of this, before the brought Schweddy on. one host asked the other what she wanted for Christmas, she said and I quote.
"A funnel, which would be good for funnelling things."
So many of us were changed by this defining moment in TV history. We will always share this. As a people we are split by before this historic event and after witnessing it.
