One of my favorite examples of critical thinking comes from a series of episodes from Square One's Mathnet series. In particular, The Case of the Dirty Money. What seems like a dull premise becomes very interesting, and the way the case is solved features using logic and math in sensible ways.

It's a kid's show, but this episode has the chops to be an actual mystery on prime time.
you just unlocked a core memory for me that I had buried for YEARS - I totally remember watching this in middle school and, like, actually wanting to see the other episodes of this show outside of school...?
