So I had a moment before bed last night where I vividly remembered memories from my childhood. Only they weren't true memories. They were memories, for sure, but memories of locations around where I lived that don't match up to the reality of what they actually were.

One of my favorite examples of critical thinking comes from a series of episodes from Square One's Mathnet series. In particular, The Case of the Dirty Money. What seems like a dull premise becomes very interesting, and the way the case is solved features using logic and math in sensible ways.
