Audiences get what they deserve since they don't bother seeking out the stuff they claim to want more of. I'm checking it out 'cuz I know there's no harm at the core of this nonsense and I was about 1 when the original came out and I need SOME way of seeing it in theaters lol

I don't see what harm the remake will do. The original animated film will likely be more remembered anyway and at the least the existence of a remake can lead to more checking out the original too

The original will forever be one of my absolute favourite Disney films but honestly? I think kids are in for something special. When I look at the clips that have come out, I see love and care put into it, so hopefully this is one of the rare good ones...

I liked Jungle Book 2016 but sometimes I wish in hindsight we didn't all go flocking to that knowing what it spawned.

They will keep doing it as long as there's even hints of profit. They know what they're doing here by releasing it so close to the summer school break. Parents will take their kids to this since they already love the blue koala and they will have a great time. That'll be where the profits come from.

I find it funnily ironic that the two live action remakes coming out this year are based off of animated movies directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois.

And the latter is directing the How to Train Your Dragon remake.
