Tariffs are on/off/paused, and are targeted/universal, applied to our friends/foes/everyone, starting sooner/later. They'll be in place for the short/long run because they are a useful policy/bargaining chip, and will solve our problem with fentanyl/trade deficits/manufacturing/revenue.

Other than the fact that historically no one has ever won a tariff war. And it has tanked the stock market, and angered every single one of US traditional allies. But other than that, the greatest, most fantastic, never been seen before success.

Tariffs are to extort companies for bribes and break alliances.
He has never been taken advantage of, nor has the US. In reality, he has extorted people around him, often even refusing to pay his bills - and then claims victory.
