I lost my home to the Eaton Fire. My family evacuated with our kitten. We are safe. My home was my sanctuary, my safe place, the place I called home for 25 years.

I'm glad you're safe. I'm local, do you have a gfm set up yet? Happy to help any way I can. Not sure what size you and the kiddos are but I have stuff to donate if you would like to DM me.
I can't even imagine. Big hugs - my family is donating clothes, household stuff etc. If any of that is something you need I am happy to give you first dibs.
They sure are. Grateful how we are all pulling together, all the love and support from across the nation and world have shown us. Praying for all those who have lost so much. ❤️🙏🏼

I'm so sorry... mybheaet breaks for you and all those who lost their homes. Because it's not just a house, it's HOME.
My son is part of a self-volunteer crew. He's been helping since Day 1 w evacuations and driving people to shelters. As of yesterday, they're doing clean-up.
As long as you have your life and your family and your little kitty you'll be okay. You can rebuild. Prayers for you and everybody affected by these horrible fires! 🙏
My heartfelt sorrow for your loss. I can't imagine the feelings you are going through. Happy thatyou and yours are safe and overwhelming sadness over losing everything .
I’m so sorry😢 but you and your family are safe🙏🏻My heart breaks for you and everyone who lost everything, my heart breaks more for all you memories lost
Your experience is one that we all can relate to, but unless we have lost all our possessions and our home, we can't comprehend what you are feeling. I send my deepest hope you will again feel safe and find some security in your new home. Blessings to you and your family..🕊️
My heart breaks for you, sweet sister, but I'm so glad you all got out safe. I know how strong you are & that will get you & the family through this. Sending you love & hugs, useless I know, but am here if you need me🫂🫂🫂
I can’t begin to know how this feels. Mowing you were able to get your kitten out warms my heart and I hope their purrs are filling up some of the emptiness you feel. Sending you love from Venice💙
I don't know words that make things better. I'm constantly looking &reminded of that John Donne thing. '----I am involved in (wo)mankind. And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.' It applies in quiet, invisible ways. I'm sorry this happened to one of us.

I'm so sorry. 💔
My family home burned down in 8th grade, and I still remember that untethered feeling.
What you're going through is so much worse.
The collective trauma from this magnitude of disaster will be generational.
We rebuilt our new house around the field stone fireplace left standing. That was healing.
I'm wishing you strength and calm.
The collective trauma is beyond comprehension. You’re absolutely correct, this will be generational. 😔
