The world is an increasingly volatile place and the amount of disinformation on social media is staggering. Take the time to verify what you see online before sharing it. We all need to be more vigilant.

Sometimes some of the biggest 'influencers' on social media - both sides - have been blindsided by mis- or disinformation and paid an enormous price in credibility.

I don’t think that individuals practicing CONSTANT VIGILANCE is a substitute for elected officials doing the job they were elected to do and legislating some rails. ‘Cause you’re not wrong, but bootstrapping it isn’t going to remedy the systemic problem. IJS.
Fraud is the defining feature of the Internet, now. Disinformation is an academic term, a military one; it's what spies do. Call it what it is. It's blatant, malicious, destructive fraud. Artificial intelligence will exacerbate the problem beyond fathoming. A.I. is itself fraud and a vehicle for it.
We need two factor verification where you have to find 2 legit sources that are NOT FACEBOOK!! Before posting. Ignorance is bliss. America is full of it!
