My grandmother's family is possibly from Scotland. She was adopted as a toddler from an orphanage after being taken from an encampment on the Ohio River in the 1920s. Both her immigrant parents died so she & her siblings were split up. We know her original last name was Kerr & she was left-handed.

My grandmother recently informed us that her father, who passed when she was young, was Scottish. We looked online and couldn’t find anything about him so I’m going up this August to see if I can shake that limb of the tree. From pictures he was a large man and was a fisherman.
