As LAPD was trying to establish its skirmish line they had mounted officers ride through traffic, on Temple. Once again, a person was caught in the path and knocked to the ground. Didn’t get video, but person popped back up and thankfully didn’t look that hurt. - ThreadSky

How much oil would you have to pour on a road to make it (at least temporarily) impassable. Can't help wonder if 2-3 people with some gallon bottles of motor oil would do the trick

Every road surface in LA drains to the ocean: no one should do this, for any reason.
Also, Caltrans etc have all the tools / adsorbents needed to soak up oil, etc from crashes: any deliberate spill will be swiftly neutralized.

Fair point on the drains.

I'd expect it to be neutralised, just not in the immediate term. My thought was allow time for protesters to move without getting cavalried
