The constraints are important. In Canada we already have people cheerfully popping up at bedsides to “offer” death as an option, and upon refusal the quality of care has been observed to decline rapidly.

This is Britain. We are up for sale to corporations: our healthcare is at the top of that sale list. We can almost guarantee care and aftercare will not be protected, monitored, scrutinised for quality. 100%
Indeed. I got a 12 hour Twitter ban yesterday for saying much the same thing. Coming soon to a health questionnaire near you ‘tick the box if you’re considering assisted dying’.
Assisted dying should be available in any progressive and kind society, which is why we should stop this bill!
