I’m curious to understand how governments are envisioning huge loss in tax revenue because AI will reduce the amount of necessary workforce, many on this workforce pay thousands in taxes a year.
I think their plan is to end income tax altogether and rely only on sales tax, but thats more of a scam than a plan, and ai isnt going to work like they are/have been claiming it will

Not every object, and I still have agency to choose which objects I engage with and how. I don't doubt that the landscape will continue to change while pressure is applied, but nothing is inevitable - especially considering energy is a finite thing, and these machines are literally unsustainable.
While we can choose, many people won't know or care to learn how. On a societal level this is already pretty bad. I agree, ressources availability will put an end to this unviable venture.
It's so sad that the black bag and unmarked van manufacturers are going to be driven out of business by AI.
