Extended thoughts on ☝️ article inc. why we need clarity on the NDIA’s assumptions about #NDIS support needs for different disabilities before the states can know what is being asked of them.

Or whether foundational supports assumptions are a realistic representation of support needs.

The TSPs have been around forever, they churn out the base reference package based on primary disability & other inputs, then planners can tweak. I was so incensed at the assumptions the Autism TSP made (that the planner wouldn't challenge) I wanted to know why. As many Q's as others re what next!

Can only agree with this. The experience with my autistic adult son and the NDIS is something I wouldn't wish on anyone.

The two tiered approach where some disabilities are 'more deserving' that others is fucking deplorable.
