The speed at which corporations r ditching DEI proves they were never serious abt diversity, equity or inclusion. Those they sought to exclude were never meant to be included. Racism, misogyny & xenophobia - that’s their comfort zone, the settings they r familiar with & comfortable operating within.

Companies, as a group, will do anything in service to capital. If you want to see them get really nervous, try telling them that billionaires shouldn’t exist and that wages should be higher for everyone else.

Their “celebration of diversity” always stopped where the profits dipped - look no farther than lgbt flag logos for pride month but only for specific regions. For a while it was profitable to signal inclusion now it’s not. Should the tide shift so will they.

Applicants can ask the employer for feedback, including an explanation for their decision. If an applicant believes they were discriminated against, they can challenge the decision.
It ending and the pull back from rainbow capitalism are indicators that the companies think bigotry will no longer be punished.

The course is saying that Corporate Social Responsibility is a genuine approach to building value. These DEI cancelations prove to me that they were just for show, which is exactly what I wrote for that course.

But it's not exactly true.
The rich formed the government in the first place.
People really need to learn that no matter how nice they sound, corporations are NEVER your friend and they always just follow where the general political wind is blowing on social issues.
