As a general principle maybe people shouldn’t be engaging with algorithmic feeds anyway… just build up your Following feed organically (ie add new people when people you follow repost or link to them).

I think part of the issue is when you share from certain sites, you only get the headline. I have taken to taking a link before I hit the share to Bluesky so I can add it in without going back to the page. For example the post I just shared about Beto

Elon Musk didn’t like people leaving Twitter to go to other sites so when he took charge, he had the algorithm penalize posts with a link to another site. People responded by taking their links and putting them in a reply to their first post. Elon’s change was dumb and is not a factor on BlueSky.
