Not saying you can't criticize a kids show, especially if you're a parent worried about what your kids are consuming, but I distinctly remember grown adults being PRESSED that Steven in Steven Universe ultimately forgave the diamonds because "they're war criminals."

not only that, but maybe killing isn't always the answer? maybe Steven is in a better place to decide that, where we are adults and jaded, and it's more nuanced than just "murder them diamonds"

It's a fine line to walk between misunderstanding a show's fundamental premise b/c the character did something you dislike (forgiving the Diamonds), and criticizing a character getting her denouement despite having not gone through a character arc (it's over isn't it [no]), and people often misstep.
