Google Trends normalizes its data to the highest value in the data set, so showing just its US results is useless for demonstrating the term’s prevalence in the US. If you search “Lorry” it’ll still output a lot of blue.

Sometimes these signs are required by law (reasonably) but in that case are not necessary for traffic safety. In one case, entering a construction zone from the dead end of a road. Maybe 50 people would see it, and they lived there.
