The USA Rail Pass allows riders to go on 10 Amtrak “segments” within a 30-day period for 499.00 . I crossed 16 states from California to New York. This was one of the best adventures in my life time .

Sweet sky there back in the 80's when I was a kid I went from Portland Oregon to Boston and back on Amtrak seen some gorgeous places I definitely feel ya on taking a trip on the train seeing a lot of the country that way
