The USA Rail Pass allows riders to go on 10 Amtrak “segments” within a 30-day period for 499.00 . I crossed 16 states from California to New York. This was one of the best adventures in my life time .

Bombay beach , California . The Bombay Beach Ruins located at the Saltom Sea . Ecological apocalypse with unique art .The landscape and sculptures continue to change. Take plenty of water and an umbrella! Be cautious not to drive in soft sand !! Best to visit during the winter and fall.

Lewis falls in Azusa, California. Trail starts at street. Hike is 1 mile RT. Need water shoes to creek up to the waterfall or climb over boulders, your preference. Beautiful drive up the mountain .

Summer time at Dana Point Harbor. Barbie has kayak , jet skies , and boat rentals . The harbor has no waves and safe to kayak. Baby beach is perfect for toddlers exploring the water. The best thing there is the sand bar that is about 1-2 feet deep. Perfect beach adventure!
