Republican Roger Marshall just blocked an effort by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to pass a resolution by unanimous consent that would bar using a foreign plane as Air Force One.

The plane isn’t the core issue.The question becomes: Can democracy enforce constitutional limits when its enforcement mechanisms are co-opted? You’re now in authoritarian territory, so the fight moves from courts to public resistance,state defiance,whether any institution still has backbone to act.
