Report aired this week on Channel 4 news - flea treatments for animals (often available over the counter) found to contain neonicotinoids which are banned in agricultural practices..

I saw a piece last year which claimed that flea treatments passed into water courses when dogs swam or drank in them, were killing aquatic life. Almost nobody knows about this particular risk and more investigation or publicity is needed.

if labour really cares about the environment and really wants to solve this problem, it could simply ban the products altogether, which would be cheaper and more effective, but they don't and they aren't and they won't, because Larry Fink's puppy starmer isn't going to get treats if he bites bayer
