I am of retirement age, and realise that sometimes I need to be more careful with my commentary.
Aside from being a joke, my beliefs about biological sex are informed by reality and science and have been interrogated thoroughly. They’re unshakable specifically because I’ve been willing to change my mind in the past, and came to the truth.
I, too, am not in alignment with Ms. Rowling. The quote was in my head following a radio phone-in the other day.
Unfortunately, trans folks are bombarded near-constantly with others' opinions on our right to exist. Our very lives are a crucible to harden our resolve.
It does lead to us being somewhat oversensitized to being asked to hear others out when they rarely hear us out.
