Can't do the K-sig balls. It's by far the cheapest urethane cover ball, which is good, but the last two versions of it have been BAD with quality control. You legit don't know what you're going to get. As @gamecockcolonel.bsky.social said, the Maxfli Tour line is probably the best bang for buck.
But the ball does have it's place. I've often said it's a great ball if you're playing an unfamiliar course where you're not sure where to hit, or what's up ahead and you know you'll lose a few. Good way to get good performance and not break the bank. But I personally wouldn't use it every round.
Until you go play an uber private club late in the season and can take your time looking for your OB ball, and come back with 4 more prov1s from out of bounds than the 1 kirkland ball you hit into the cacti.
Man, best time to play is the day AFTER some big tournament at your club of choice. Every bozo decides that tournament is the day for a ProV1. Go play the next day and you can probably come home with 2 dozen new balls. Buddy of mine's $40 for 18 and cart private course, we cleaned up in April.
I've climbed through the woods to find quite a few, and am more than happy to be playing "collection of shit from the woods" instead of a particular brand.
Ain't gonna make a significant difference in my play or enjoyment.
Like, I went to the course yesterday, with two dozen-egg cartons with golf balls.
I've sorted them, in that everything in one of the cartons was a #2, and everything in the other was a #3. Some are Titleist, some are Callaway, some are Srixon, I remember also having a "Vice" and a "Noodle" in there
