The root of all is transparency. Dems need to address Americans and say that for too long we have allowed politicians on both sides to say one thing and do another. We need regular and mandatory fact checked interviews and debates for all elected officials to explain why things don’t get done.

The biggest problem is that politics used to be a competition of ideas. It centered general welfare as a universal goal. It was debating building a bridge or digging a tunnel.
