I see TH have given AEG 19 days on which to hold events in Vicky Park this year.
And yes, it's only 6 weeks of festivals but there's a whole load of time either side of disruption after. I love seeing excited festival goers, but I do feel the general logistics could be a bit less intrusive?
If you like noise get headphones.
If you like peace and quiet, move to the country.
“You paid for dinner, but I ate some. Don’t worry it was only a bit. You can buy it back for me for £50 plus shit expensive drinks, security screening and queues.”
I lived near Peckham Rye for many years so I get it, but there has to be a possible compromise?
Two big parks near me while I was in London would regularly be fenced off from us, getting it back completely trashed.
Again, there has to be better brownfield sites.
Or just use a golf course. That would work :-)
Yes, reduced local access. For those of us non-drivers (should be everyone able-bodied in a place like London, but anyway) that's a big deal for getting around locally.
