If this administration really wants to make America healthy again, then they should IMMEDIATELY withdraw this pause and planned change to the interview process so that residents can come to the US to do the training they’ve prepared their entire adult lives to do.

My cancer surgery, I had two teams, ortho and plastics, involved. 12 residents in total, half of them not born in the US. My ICU doc was from eastern Europe. Two of the best nurses were from Haiti.

Without those teams, I might still have a tumor and a tailbone.
