The city of Tulsa, home to one of the most horrifying racial-terror massacres in U.S. history and the people who tried to cover it up, has announced a $105 million reparations package.

Opening fire into a crowd of starving people is nothing short of evil and you cannot read the description of what occurred without immediately drawing comparisons to the Nazi concentration camps.

Attention #Medsky! We’re moving forward with a major initiative to provide language support to @medsky.social, and to do this we need the help of medical professionals proficient in these languages. If there are fluent Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, and others please reach out via DM!

Scientists say 4 billion people, about half the world's population, experienced at least one extra month of extreme heat because of human-caused climate change from May 2024 to May 2025.

Do Bluesky labelers offer support for multiple languages? I just attempted to modify @medsky.social's JSON file to support a Spanish (es) label but not seeing this reflected when I switch my account's language in-app. @atproto.com @atprotocol.dev @why.bsky.team @pfrazee.com

Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

My millenial brain can’t read “MAHA” without immediately hearing Courtney from The Amanda Show

Emily was one of the people who connected me with the @atproto.com community and ultimately led to the partnerships that created both @medsky.social and @stemlabels.xyz. Thanks so much for all your help and support, @emilyliu.me and best of luck with whatever comes next!

There are 6,800+ international medical graduates expecting to start residency on July 1 who may be delayed or unable to start because of the US State Department’s pause on J1 visa interviews. Residents are the life blood of hospitals and this change will have disastrous impacts on patient care.

Well, this @medsky.social update is going to be another big one... We're going to be at 370 labels by the time we update. That's 100 new labels! This is also the first time I've been directly adding labels using the NUCC Taxonomy code lists!

This generation’s Henry Kissinger

While most puns make me feel numb, I have to admit, MATH puns make me feel EVEN NUMBER.

Some major changes coming in the next @medsky.social update (hopefully on the horizon) with many much-requested labels being added (included nursing). We'll also be sunsetting a number of dual-specialty labels to help reduce label-clutter on accounts.

It's going to be really hard to keep the Punsky feed from being mostly just @pfrazee.com and @jcsalterego.bsky.social posts

The last Bluesky feed you'll ever need

And to add: #familymedicine, the lifeblood of #preventivecare (especially in less urban areas), has a significantly higher percentage of international graduates filling residency positions, and therefore preventive care and health maintenance will be disproportionately impacted for the worse

We’re boiling the planet and using up all our clean water so an AI can tell us false information

I'm Dr. Annie Andrews. I’m a pediatrician, not a politician. But either way I know how to handle people who are full of sh*t. Today I am announcing my campaign for US Senate to replace Lindsey Graham. Share this if you're with me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8wM...

Let’s get a physician who cares about people in the U.S. Senate!!!

All children are “healthy” until they get sick

This is a new image from #JWST, and is a beautiful example of gravitational lensing. A cluster of galaxies (Abell S1063, centre) is so massive it distorts spacetime to the point where light from distant galaxies behind bends around it—allowing us to see some of the Universe's most ancient galaxies.

Aside from the fact that anyone can get seriously ill from COVID, a key point they are deliberately hiding when removing access is that COVID vaccines reduce transmission. People choose to get vaccinated to protect other people. It is wrong and harmful to take that choice away.

“It is very clear that COVID-19 infection during pregnancy can be catastrophic and lead to major disability, and it can cause devastating consequences for families. The COVID-19 vaccine is safe during pregnancy, and vaccination can protect our patients and their infants after birth.” @acog.org

The man on the left wrote in the New England Journal of Medicine *last week* that pregnancy is a one of the medical conditions that increases the risk of severe covid and thereby warrants vaccination. Covid infection is linked to miscarriages. MAHA is a cult. www.statnews.com/2025/05/27/c...

Dying

I want to see the submarine scene from Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning in a theater full of undersea & hyperbaric medicine physicians and witness the theater self implode when he doesn’t die from the bends.

We were hoping that this letter to @bsky.app could first be shared by a Gazan, but we were too worried that doing so would get their account deleted so we are sharing first. You can sign on to the letter about the unfair treatment of Gazans on Bluesky here: docs.google.com/document/d/1...
