Street medicine teams this afternoon reported unhoused encampments downtown were completely deserted. It was a ghost town. People are scared of being picked up by ICE, so they’re running scared and some of them could end up in the hospital because they’re not receiving care we could provide them.

Just got notified that ICE is raiding downtown LA in spots where I see patients for street medicine outreach. There was a patient I saw who needed follow-up, and our team can’t find him. We don’t know whether he’s hiding or got picked up. I’m fucking livid right now.
