Accepting a bribe is explicitly listed as an impeachable offense in the U.S. Constitution. Article II, Section 4 states that the President, Vice President, and civil officers can be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors”.

Boeing is currently retrofitting 2 747-8s to Presidential aircraft standard. The Qatar 747 is no where close to being that standard and Congress hasn’t, and won’t provide the billions in funding to bring it up to the security level required.
