I like the controller, but the triggers definitely wore down quickly compared to other controllers with trigger buttons. I had multiple controllers drop inputs with triggers during MvC2 (my most played game on the DC), but all the other buttons held up fine. I did like the VMU concept, though! 😅
One of the best controllers I've used, both before and since. Only the PS2 controller beats it for comfort, and even then only for some games (the triggers are better for racing games).
The modularity of the expansion slots is innovation at a level we've otherwise only seen from Nintendo.
I fell In love with the Dreamcast controller 🎮 and the VMU memory card with the LCD and playing mini games on it too. It was truly something special at the time In that generation.
A weird, spaceship-looking thing that took obvious cues from the Saturn’s analog controller, yet had cool additions like the VMU port, and novelties like the white coloring and the cable coming from the bottom. It was strange and I loved it.
I truly think it's one of the best controllers to hold, I'd agree with comments about the cable placement but the little groove at the top for placing it did help
Nice design, but the analogue stick always felt cheap and not very sturdy, especially the fact that you could rotate the stick itself slightly. Highly unsuitable for shooters.
I hate to say it,because i have since come to love it,but I was put off by its large size and seemingly unwieldy shape not to mention the coloring made it resemble a preschoolers toy in my eyes. That said it rose to occupy a spot in my top 5 favorite game controllers where it sits to this day
I like it! I have big hands, so even stuff like cell phones make it hard to type, but the Dreamcast controller was sweet! I also liked the massive original Xbox controller for the same reason. Plus the VMU was such a cool idea, I wish it gained more traction.

Wheel-reinventing-ass nonsense.
