The European Commission is figuring out how it could help Ukraine secure satellite communication capacity in the wake of Elon Musk reportedly threatening to pull Kyiv's access to his Starlink network.

Why do we make life so bloody difficult for ourselves? Grow a pair @ec.europa.eu @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu and simply say to that nazi Musk: you pull Starlink, we pull X.

This is why you don’t let too much privatization happen and you also don’t let Monopoly happen. This is the power they have and why we’ve been warned about it time and time again.
This was one of my fears for Ukraine. I hope a solution is found & quickly. Fuck elon, fuck his starlink, and fuck the whole administration in the U.S. I am an American Citizen who supports Ukraine and all of our allies in Canada, Mexico, & Europe.
Elon musk is as much if not more of a danger to this country ...unbelievable how he's only been in this country a short time and now is wrecking it. "Bring in more foreigners "
suggest EU ban starlink in reprisal.. anything which hurts elon is to their current advantage.. also: that factory in Berlin.. I am sure it is destroying the environment somehow.. already an eyesore.. should be stopped no?
First Europe should say if Musk close starlink for Ukraine all European countries break their contracts with starlink (maybe do it Canada and others non European countries too)! Musk must fill he loose lots of money
Easy. Musk must provide Ukraine w/ uninterrupted Starlink access or else Tesla ceases to do any biz in EU, Musk is barred from the EU, his other businesses are barred from the EU, and all of his employees in all his companies are barred entering the EU. See how he likes being turned off.
The Starlink network used in Ukraine is being paid by Poland. That would mean Elon had to break the agreement made with 3rd party. If so, who the hell would use such unreliable system?
Och, it's fairly easy. Let's try Trump's strategy. First, we ban Twitter (X) in Europe, and if Musk blocks access to the Starlink network, we will kick out Tesla.
This is what eventually will break Musk. Europe will probably now seek to nullify Starlink going forward and seek to either build or promote competitors to Musk. You can’t have this type of infrastructure and have it stopped at the whims of a man child.
One wonders how his shareholders would react if the rest of the world decided starlink posed a security risk because one foreigner could restrict their access at will?
It’s time for all world leaders to look at alternatives to Starlink. Also to pass laws that if Musk threatens or uses Starlink as a weapon to suit his will, then it is considered foreign interference and life without parole. All his assets get confiscated.
What a complete asshole this guy is. And I hate that he does that dumb "power move" shit with his hands. The fate of the free world is in the hands of a 40 something frat Nazi billionaire. He could help but he chooses to hurt because of his small dick energy. We need another Mario's brother
Exactly! Now, more than ever should we take advantage of our member countries. We can and will replace as many American services as we can with European ones. It's an amazing opportunity which can strengthen and expand the EU and really lead to international cooperation and harmony.
King Charles should immediately rescind the invitation to the felon. A convicted felon, admitted sexual predator (on tape!) & an adjudicated sexual assaulter must not be given the privilege. And now the disgraceful Oval Office debacle. The invitation must be rescinded.
Other entities are beginning to compete with Starlink by lofting their own satellite conventions.
Prospective customers for Starlink will not like the idea that Musk may cut off their service because he doesn't like their politics.

Boycott Tesla, the open sewer, Twitter/x and his satellite service.
