I've been trying to record lately (laryngitis is down to a small raspiness at this point)and this is the approach I take. If Trump increases the power of his office, he then bequeaths all that power to future presidents. So his fans are creating a more powerful and less restrained person at the top.

I think this is the single most important issue in saving the republic. And one of few ways democrats can gain credibility with Trump voters.

It's obvious that the #GOP would do anything for power, even if it kills people.
And you definitely underestimate the average Republican voter's self-awareness that they are even giving the goose/gander different things.
But the "what if Biden had..." memes exist for a reason. I just don't think the sides are the same.
And I'm not up for a call to reform in 2029 after years of Trump/Musk ripping it to pieces.
Reparations are necessary and will be expected by voters.
If the Prez spends 29-31 saying you can't do that much because of Congress, it is not gong to fly. Voters will expect the same force Trump applied.
It's not just laying down arms. It's returning to 2023 standards before reforms are discussed.
The people, media, Congress and the courts will ultimately ruin Maga project 2025

Common Sense / Hardcore History crossover idea: "Death Throes of the Republic, Season 2"
There sure is a ton to complain about right now...
Liberals - by definition - cannot use executive power in this way. They would no longer be liberals
And those that support it (1) already know that liberals can't use it and (2) never again intend to relinquish power, so what is there to be concerned about?
Even Russia has "elections" from time to time.
Tea Party literally morphed into Donald Trump Maga bullshit.
The Reps are counting on this.
Voters will proudly admit this today, saying out loud that it's fine because they don't intend on losing again. 😐
