I'm surprised you need to ask that question, Sir. I'd be more inclined to ask: what, given the current circumstances, would POTUS see as a rationale for not NOT doing so?
Oh god. I hadn’t even considered that. Now we get to have hair-splitting arguments about whether we’re “really” at war, with everything simultaneously arguing both sides.
We should all assume Dictator actions from Trump by this point. Expect Iranian Americans to be detained in camps, Democratic leaders to be detained as well.
The law, the Constitution it doesn't matter when republicans are in power. And I learn this just by observing from outside. As long they can manipulate with disinformation and misinformation and have evangelicals' backing - nothing will change.
I remember as a kid watching the movie Wag the Dog and thinking how insane it would be for an administration to even think about such an orchestration yet alone have the means to pull it off. Now, I realize how easy it is and an administration really doesn't need to pretend to put much effort in it.
The sword of Damocles is on a very weak and fraying rope. Trump just bombed Iran’s nuclear sites. Now what? I always loved the image you presented in Blueprint of “putting the pin back in the grenade”. I sure hope we can do just that. Stay safe everyone.

Gonna be real easy for a Proud Boy to leave a bomb somewhere, and then just blame it on Iran.
