We went for a walk in the park today and actually saw two young men in boxing gear sparring in the band stand. First time I saw actual boxing on Boxing Day.
Whatever happened to Worcester City. I was there when we beat Liverpool in the cup in ‘57. Harold Knowles scored the goals, Roy Paul organized the defence
Welsh Cup
Harriers reached the Welsh Cup final in 1986, losing to Wrexham (2–1) Attendance 4304 in the replay after drawing the first game (1–1)[and again reaching the final 1989, losing to Swansea City (5–0) Attendance: 5,100
My husband used to work at Consett. The red dust town. Where men couldn't wear gloves to keep their hands warm in winter because it was a bit erm 'odd for a real man'.
And that ghastly Darren Grimes is from Consett. (Rowlands Gill).
No, I can't find hilarity.
But I'll try!
Have considered doing a Ryan Reynolds and making an documentary series then buying the team when it gets popular with the Wokerati. Hope you had a lovely Christmas, love to the family. Scott.
Swansea played kidderminster Boxing Day 2004, remembered for two reasons, one of the lads fathers couldn’t be contacted, he was in Thailand during the tsunami (found safe hours later) and we found a pub open at 9am
More joyous is to see Chorley FC in the top six, with half of Boyzone as non exec directors, the chance to the sub bench stand in unison and belt out a chorus with a gentle sway and a key change will be the stuff of dreams!
Nice set up there, not so sure about the plastic pitch they have now though. Had a couple of close games with them this season which they won but we’ve had some better results elsewhere. Watch this space.

Nostalgia – programmes from Welsh Cup classics No 1: Kidderminster v Llanfairpwll (1988)
Love don’t live here
Spennymoor…’
I wonder how many others know where Spennymoor is? Allied Carpets pretty much put it on the map. And then closed down.
Pity Me
Damn. You people are good. I can’t think of any way of fitting Consett into an hilarious post.
😡

4 former EFL clubs in there.
Happy Holidays, James.
At least we are still up there in the playoff position.
