Have heard more rage from more otherwise non-political New Yorkers about congestion pricing being paused than about nearly any issue in the last few years. Hochul fucked up big time and whoever told her this was good politics should be fired.

In March, the NYT reported that MTA had received 25,000 comments from New York State commenters between Dec. 2023 and March 2024 as part of notice-and-comment, of which 60 percent were positive

There’s a good lesson to learn here about also calling your reps for the programs you like instead of just the ones you don’t like, but now’s not the time for that. Hochul’s phone lines opened five minutes ago and it’s time to call again. (518) 474-8390 is the number to let her know this sucks.
