San antonian native speaking here. Pops will be surely missed. He was more than just a coach. He was a culture here in San Antonio, and his presence on the basketball court will be sorely missed. I wish him well and great health in the future.
He's lying about fatigue not having an impact. Curry looks gassed and increased sloppiness and TOs usually goes hand-in-hand with his being fatigues. His shot being off is partly due to the thumb, partly fatigue and partly Houston's physical defense. Not sure what he can do to recover by Sunday.
That was awesome. I hope Pop considers running for gov of TX. Just throwing that out. We are desperate for good leaders and decent public figures in this state. Pop is one. And what kind words here. Nice to hear.
Whoβs the favorite to become the Spurs new HC? Mike Malone was an assistant of Popovich on the Spurs. He is a possibility, but who do you all think itβs going to be?
βI hate Steve Kerr, if he asks me anything, I tell him to go urinate in a bucket. You can quote me on that.β -Pop

Fantastic tribute from a great coach to a coaching legend whose contributions to US Basketball and life in general will be remembered by all who have felt his impacts and will stand the test of time ππΎ.

Then came out of nowhere with a bunch of 3s to close out Dallas in 2003 to win one more title with Pop as he closed out his playing career.
Then competed against and even beat Pop in the playoffs as a coach.
Crazy run.
You never know, but it would be an absolute shock.

Decency and integrity. If you don't like Pop and you don't like Kerr, there's something deeply wrong with you.
