Well there might be a time when we Canadians finally wake up and realize just what you said. It’s only been going on for 40 years so maybe a revelation is in order.
$3.29/ gallon regular unleaded in Miami. In thought the price per barrel for crude was dripping, getting close to $40/barrel. So why is the gas price increasing?
Conservatives wanted to drop the carbon tax on fuel so they could pocket the $.17/litre. All they did was funnel it into the pockets of the oil companies. And without the tax, there's also no rebate to help recoup the cost.
What a massive self-own.
Thanks, Cons.
This could be oil companies influencing elections. It's an ongoing problem in the USA. Prices at the pump always go up in the month before a Democratic incumbent seeks reelection. I imagine the Canadian oil patch is still conservative. Global prices are declining thanks to the cratering US economy.
Almost like it’s always been the problem, we just called them Duke’s and Lord’s before we got fancy and invented corporations. Now they can hide their misdeeds behind a limited liability company and avoid the guillotine. Progress!
Really it's the market. They are going to charge what they can for oil. Here in Texas they are shutting in some wells waiting for the price to go up. OPEC is opening the spigots. I'm not defending corporate greed, just stating what reality is.
No, they are simply infected with the long lived pandemic here in the US. I love comedy shows, but having to endure one for four years is not something you want to experience.
