I’ve wasted hours of my life doing this. A second or third song will come on & there I am, still sitting. Gazing into oblivion. Or car dancing. I’m never getting that time back, smh.
Can relate. If Hotel California starts playing when I pull into the driveway, that's where I sit for the next six and a half minutes. To do anything else would be sacrilege.
The first time I visited my favourite pub, I refused to order until I identified the organ solo that was playing (it was Deep Purple's 1969 cover of Neil Diamond's "Kentucky Woman").
I'm the kind of guy who will keep driving, then another cool song comes on, so I'll keep driving, and another banger comes on, then I wonder how lucky I am that so many of my faves have come on, then realize I'm listening to a Spotify playlist and now I'm late for everything.
I've done that... But I don't like lingering that long so it needs to be far enough in, and of course I have listened to radio in years so I can just hit the back button and start it over for when I get back in; I have done that often.

We have so much in common
Send help and coffee!
not everyone has cars!
I get antsy.
There needs to be a button that creates a pleasant transition!
Worse, the song's on my iPod.
I think it’s m respectful to wait till the band stops
