Afaik, the plan for Scunthorpe remains to close the blast furnaces and build a new EAF, with the loss of many jobs. Nationalisation doesn't change that, other than it's the government that has to take the flak. Ultimately, Tata has been an great custodian of Port Talbot, with at least £4bn spent
