The custom levels were amazing and Time Splitter 3 added EVEN MORE tools for custom levels lol
- me n a buddy made a ton of maps
But yeah. Time Splitters 2 has like..
50+ characters with unique stats, vs levels, new weapons, game "cheats" and a ton of solo minigame missions to unlock. There's ALOT
It got a rerelease port on PS+ a while back... I think TimeSplitters 1-3 are free if you subscribe or like 5$ a piece if you don't
(I got em on sale one day so don't quote me on the price today lol)
But they do play better on a modern controller than my crusty ol PS2 ones if your interested
Me and a mate used to make zombie survival levels for Virus Mode (standard map with one spawn point locked sperately from the rest of the map. As long as the first infected or the player didn't spawn there, you could play indefinitely) with defendable fortresses, gun turrets and vehicles. Good timet
We used to do something like that where it was team death match but it was just me and him versus like 20 monkeys with shotguns lol. Had a fortress with a bottleneck kill box and just saw how long we could survive
In Time Splitters 3 you could even go so far as setting up specific spawns for specific players with variables too like... Don't spawn if someone is nearby. A huge life saver cuz TS2 spawns don't give a fuck if your safe lol
Get in the meat grinder!!
I could easily spend an entire weekend with #SimCity 🌃 on my #SNES 🎮. I'd leave the console on all night—wake up to either a fortune 💵… or a city in flames 🔥😂 #RetroGaming
Yoshi's Crafted World. I'm on a full-on comfort kick right now so I want something cute and fun that can be played through easily in two 8-hour chunks.
Split Fiction is a solid contender! I'd also say Elden Ring, Until Then and Slay the Princess would also be solid choices for cozy offline play. (Elden Ring becomes cozy 😬)
Well I'd want to play something new. So I'd say Forza Horizon for the 360. I had a fun time playing through that, and I really need to get back to it.
Otherwise, I'd say Nintendo Land, since I can't recall another game that gives me more joy than that. I kinda need friends for that though
Those Lord of the Rings games during the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era were sooo good, particularly in co-op. I miss games like that! It was its own thing. These days big budget games are getting formulaic, usually off-the-shelf 3rd-person over-the-shoulder-camera walking simulators with lengthy cutscenes.
This game truly surprised me and I can only describe as an experience. One of the few where I RACED through the side scrolling sections just to get back to the over world portion of the game. I could play a whole game just on that.
I got this as a gift back then, and initially did not make much of it. I had SMW and Final Fantasy IV already. One day out of curiosity I started to play it and did not put it down until it was done, amazing game
One weekend, one SEGA Dreamcast, one GD-ROM disc containing Crazy Taxi. You can take away my internet, I don't care, I have customers to pick up and drop and make some crazy money!

I've got about 70% of everything unlocked, I'm sure I can atleast hit 90% by then right? 🥲
Some of those missions get brutal hard tho.....

3 had the best map maker ages before halo forge
(or does that not count since it's technically two cartridges? 😄 )
Symphony of the Night

Cheating answer? Mega Games 6. Probably the greatest multi-game compilation pack until Valve released The Orange Box.
Absolutely adore them both
I'll go with Ogre Battle 64. I'm overly due for a run!
Not to mention that they’re pretty good games.
With people, Phantasy Star Online on the Gamecube, that splitscreen was fire
Final Fantasy 6.
or
maybe Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
Wait
NOooooooo
Actually I’ll play Pac-Man.
Probably Shadow of the Colossus
So many choices if it's just a game I want for a weekend...
Resident Evil 4 (2005) is always a good choice 😊
Or Baldur’s Gate 3 dark urges playthrough.
