I love how she is 100% aware of how that word is indeed used as a slur and so carefully chooses a different use of the word, one that nobody has any issue with, to feign that she is being oppressed.

Imagine taking time out of your day to drive to a meeting, stand up in front of a group of people and vociferously argue for the right to use a slur in a school setting
Yeah, the irony of trying to die on that hill is: outside of specific technical contexts (like the one she grasped for), it's almost always better to use a more common word.
I don't care what the 1950s cookbook says. You put the dough in the fridge to "slow" the fermentation.
"Apparently a word I commonly use isn't appropriate any more. When I say N***er I am of course referring to my homie boys on the street corners where I hang with my N***ers. Also black people"
For pity's sake. This poor oppressed woman just wants to be able to continue hurling offensive epithets at people without being scolded. She did her own research!
Not even the same word. The playground slur, of which she is so enamored, is a noun. Retard, used the way she does to muddy the waters, is a verb. Her freedom to be a lousy, mean-spirited role model for students is a failure of whatever school continues to employ her.
